Mr. Kooper (We called him Wishbone) went with his new family and Rattie Sissy home today. I think a perfect match, even sissy Katie was enjoying playing. I see them becoming best buds quick!
We’ve got 3 little girls left and 1 little boy. Romeo is hopefully holding out to see if his show home will come along.

Miss Rummy is full of piss ‘n vinegar. She’s the first one out of the gait and a trip or tumble never breaks her stride. We have some big dreams for this little girl. She’s already showing instinct and drive, a future terrier racer may? or Barn Hunt prospect? Rummy is by our homebred boy CH ‘PR’ Nimh’s The Candy Man and out of ‘PR’ CC’s 4 Ur Entertainment. Watch for her ring debut later 2013.

Happy St. Patty’s Day
It’s been a busy weekend for us here. Two of our Red Heads went home this weekend!
Miss Scarlet & Miss Roxy are both starting new chapters, we’ll be watching for updates on them as they grow-up.
Also added two new links to our Outside Links page under Resources; Poisonous Foods & Poisonous Plants

Finally got the video loaded

I tried to add a new video of the puppies to youtube last night but my computer shut down on me. I’ll try again tonight. I’ll also work on getting their recent photo shoot online as well.
I’ve added a new page, ‘Rat Terriers Need Rescue!’. A page dedicated to Rat Terriers, & mixed variations there of, in kill shelters local to us.
If you decide to go the rescue route and are interested in a Rat Terrier in one of our local shelters please call the shelter and let them know ASAP! If you’re out of the adoption area, we are more than happy to help out anyway we can. Normally it would include me being the ‘adopter’ and having pet spay/neutered to follow with our county law then transferring ownership to new owner.
The shelter knows us on a first name basis as we foster often when we have room and extra funds — we do this because we breed and we have the opportunity to help.
There is no shame in purchasing your next from a responsible, knowledgeable breeder — but there is also no shame in opening your home to a rescue either. We’ll help you either way you go, even if it’s not purchased or adopted from us. We just ask that you choose a reputable breeder with credentials and knowledge in their chosen breed rather than continuing the cycle of shelter pets by purchasing from a pet store or breeder who breeds without thoughts to the next generation.
Even if you’re not interested in a Rat Terrier, we’re more than happy to recommend other reputable breeders, or even rescues if that’s your cup of tea. Drop us a line, we’d love to help.

Looks like Matisse is coming into heat finally, so we’ll be working on some match making with Clique soon. If you’re interested in this litter please go ahead and get your application in because I expect this litter to go fast.
Clique & Matisse are both GRANDCHAMPIONS! & our BEST rattiers! I’d expect some Terrier racing prospects and maybe even a squirrel hunter in here but these puppies should be in a very manageable temperament package as both dogs are pretty easy going. Matisse is a major cuddle bug and lives for her humans, Clique is Mr. Funny Man.
Dog vaccines
I’ve posted another “Must Read Article” titled: Schultz: Dog vaccines may not be necessary. (http://www.news.wisc.edu/8413)
Now, don’t go fumbling for this article because you want proof that you don’t have to vaccinate your dogs, period… The article talks about annual vaccines being unnessary.
Schultz was a professor and chair of pathobiological sciences at School of Veterinary Medicine when this was published in March 2003 and the article references him and his study.
I’m posting it because I got fed up today in a discussion of someone wanting to push an outdated agenda, that can actually harm our dogs, of yearly vaccinations all because /some/ dogs go unvaccinated. I’m not sure if they were attempting a scare tactic (like the heart worm infested hearts in jars) or what. I know this person just wants to help but I wish they’d take a more updated approach with FACTS rather than decade(s) old “that’s the only way” route.
The above article kinda goes with http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/purdue-vaccination-studies/

Obviously Matisse has other plans, she did not come in heat to breed (with Clique) last month as we had planned so we’ll be watching closely this month to see if she comes in.
This will make the puppies due May, puppies ready to go July.
