Here at Nimh Kennels we will be making some tough decisions to help better our program and move us forward in producing correct & healthy Rat Terriers for show, performance and overall companions. You’ll begin to see a few of our dogs available for adoption to pet homes. If you are interested in one that is available please fill out one of our puppy forms and email it to us for consideration.

and Ms Farrah took 4 Group 1st’s this weekend out of at least 7 breeds & finished off the weekend with a RESERVE BEST IN MULTIPLE BREED SHOW! Behind a VERY nice Doberman Pinscher, an honorable loss.
Now waiting for certificates from UKC to make everything official.
Hope to post new pictures of Ms. Penee shortly, we are pleased to have her back.
Diamond Dog Food Recall
Diamond Pet Foods says it is voluntarily recalling its Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice dry dog food because the product may be contaminated with salmonella.
A news release from the company Friday says no illnesses have been reported and no other Diamond products are affected.
People who handle the pet food could become infected with salmonella. Healthy people infected with salmonella should monitor themselves for the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever.
Pets with salmonella may have decreased appetite fever and abdominal pain.
The product was distributed to customers in 12 states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia. It is possible those customers may have distributed it to other states.

No April Fools, Nimh’s Pure Imagination – ‘Mage’, completed her 100pts and another competition win (Best Female) towards her champion title. Now she only lacks 1 competition win to be a champion, hoping to gain it in Athens at the end of the month!

All but 3 of our rat terriers are now microchipped!
Puppies got their 3rd puppy vaccination this past weekend.
Sandy will be shipping out to NY on Saturday!
Rori, Cedrick, and Mage have received the all clear on Luxating Patellas and Congenital Cardiac!
Clique and Breck got xrays for hips and LCP, vet said they looked good! Waiting on 3 more to get kennel rate when submitting to OFFA.

New puppy pictures posted for the remaining Nightmare B4 Christmas puppies.
Looks like we’ll be keeping Boogie to watch her mature. She may become available later. Since we haven’t done this cross before we are going to watch and see what happens.
