Looks like I was right… Penee started bleeding yesterday so it will be another ~2weeks before she’s ready to breed.  I’ll be sending out a newsletter later for the puppy alert list.  If you’re interested in a puppy and not on it, add yourself to it.

Well, got the scare of my life last night… Penee & Dodger treed their first coon… proud of them for broadening their horizons but gave me a heart attack… the raccoon got away though, he was able to jump out of the tree on the other side of the fence & there was no way I was going to let them tangle with a coon.  Thought of rabies kept screaming no!

Oh dear, I totally forgot to update…

Penee & Dodger had their patellas & hearts checked last Thursday, all was good to go and checked out fine!

I  have reason to believe that Penee might be coming in heat sometime soon, boys are a little too interested if you know what I mean…. I’ll be sending the alert list out as soon as I am certain so feel free to either stalk the site or your email box.

Thanks to a wonderful hubby and my loving father, we now have running water at the kennels, make my winter life so much easier 🙂

Loving this warm weather!  I know the dogs are too, it’s almost pool time!

Added a new link under Clubs, Barn Hunt Association LLC.

It’s a relatively new sport that lets dogs hunt for vermin in a ‘barn’-like setting.
The title is recognized by AKC & UKC.  Nimh Kennel will be participating in this event once I’ve figured out all the rules 🙂

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

Hope your day feel like it, ours is still a bit wintery.

Not much currently happening here, waiting for the weather to break.

I’ve changed up how the litter alert list works, anyone previously added is still on it so no need to re-submit your email, I just added you manually.  Anyone else interested in being added to the litter alert list needs to sign up by just submitting their email in the top right of the page.

Putting yourself on the litter alert list does not submit an application, please submit an application to expedite the process if you think you’ll be interested in purchasing a puppy at a later date.  Applications pre-submitted get first placement on the waiting lists.

The litters I have planned are still occurring at the moment, just waiting for my girls to decide on when, hoping with the weather warming up things will get rolling.

You can also have yourself added to our Puppy Alert List so that we can notify you when puppies are born and of new litter plans etc.

Please remember that no puppy will be placed without a completed application

Due to the Animal Welfare Act passed Nov 2013, we no longer ship puppies sight-unseen.  However, you may designate an ‘agent’ to view/purchase the dog on your behalf and then have it shipped to you without you ever seeing the puppy.  We are also happy to meet you at Charlotte Airport, Roanoke Airport or the Tricities Airport to pick up your puppy.

This is a line breeding, we hope produces some dashing and typy pups for the show ring and couch. I can see some great performance prospects emerging from this cross as well, both parents have great energy but are still cuddly.
